ABOUT US

LSH Consulting Engineers S.A.C.headquartered in Lima, Peru,

is an engineering consultancy firm of Swiss-German origin. LSH excels in large infrastructure works that include renewable energy, hydraulic, and underground works, encompassing tunnels and caverns. We offer end-to-end solutions, right from a project’s inception to supervisory oversight during execution.

Our expertise spans hydro and solar power, energy storage systems, water transmission, irrigation systems, intakes, tunnels, and caverns. Guided by a forward-thinking approach, we view challenges as opportunities to create innovative solutions. Our primary commitment is to define and ensure success factors for our clients at the beginning of every project.

Established in 2004 by our founder, Dr. Karl-Heinz Nagel, we are actively engaged in the Caribbean, Latin American and South East Asian markets. Our engineering services cover due diligence, conceptual design, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, detailed design, tender documentation, works supervision, as well as the rehabilitation and optimization of hydraulic and underground structures. In addition to our core services, we are adept at forensic engineering for insurance evaluations and expert witness services in legal settings, such as ICC arbitrations.

We are the first engineering consultant in Latin America

to leverage the sophisticated probabilistic Monte Carlo technique, which mathematically examines all the risk and design variables inherent in hydraulic and subterranean projects, resulting in a quantifiable representation of both the technical and financial risks associated with a project.

This methodology is particularly applicable at the diligence phase, where bankability tests are requisite, and during the early stages of project evolution, when potential construction errors and scheduling misalignments can be identified and rectified cost-effectively.

LSH aims to optimize the technical-financial outcomes of infrastructure project and ensure the most beneficial solution is identified as early as possible. For further insights follow this link.

Our expert engineers participate in

collaborations with globally recognized research centers associated with prestigious universities, including ETH Zurich, KIT Karlsruhe, and TU Munich. This enable us to stay abreast of pioneering technologies, ensuring our proficiency remains at the forefront of industry innovation. To underpin our commitment to innovation, we are guided by our robust Code of Ethics and adhere stringently to the quality standards outlined in the German DIN norms. As a testament to this approach, we have for example pioneered the introduction of the fish ladder standard in Peru, which has since been codified into Peruvian law.
